Great Hearts Academies is hosting three hiring events at 3 different valley locations on February 3, 2023. Great Hearts Academies in Arizona is looking to hire teachers, coaches, admin, substitute teachers and support staff to help the expanding network of tuition-free non-profit public charter academies. Headmasters and representatives from schools all over the Valley will be on-site to do on-the-spot interviews. Great Hearts has schools in Anthem, Peoria, Chandler, Gilbert, Arcadia, North Phoenix, Goodyear, Maryvale, Scottsdale and Buckeye. While Great Hearts welcomes candidates with teaching certificates, you do not need a teaching certification to apply for general education faculty positions. Great Hearts does require that Special Education and ELL teachers are certified. Elaine Scruggs served on the Glendale City Council from 1990-2013. She was elected as the first Cholla District Councilmember for three years and then as Mayor of Glendale for 20 years. During her tenure Glendale’s population doubled and the city transitioned from a semi-rural bedroom community into a world-class sports and entertainment destination. Thousands of acres of agricultural land were developed into the Westgate Center, State Farm Stadium, Camelback Ranch, Desert Diamond Arena, and hotels and restaurants to serve millions of visitors annually. Elaine and her husband Larry moved to Arizona in 1971 and to Glendale in 1978.
