Selections include a taste of Mardi Gras as our concert band plays a Canadian Brass Dixieland piece, featuring the mighty tuba section. Then, cuddle up to your Valentine as we break out a Van Morrison tune and our jazz band treats you to standards like "The Girl from Ipanema" and "Ain't That a Kick in the Head."
The Ron Phillips New Horizons Band is made up of experienced and beginner musicians age 50 and up. We are a 501(C) (3) non-profit with a mission of “studying and preserving the art of band music performance by senior citizens.” Like fine wine, you'll see the art of band music gets better with age.
Our spring concert is FREE and family friendly, so bring music lovers of any age February 24 at 2 p.m. to Faith Bible Church, 17230 North 59th Avenue, Glendale, Arizona 85308.
