Matt Slatus | Camelback Ranch Baseball
Matt Slatus assumed the role of President & General Manager of Camelback Spring Training LLC, the joint venture company owned by the Chicago White Sox and Los Angeles Dodgers that operates Camelback Ranch-Glendale, in August 2021. A native of Livingston, New Jersey, he holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Management from New York University and received a Master of Sport Administration degree from Ohio University. Slatus began his career in professional sports in 2003 as a minor league clubhouse manager with the Texas Rangers. Since, he has worked with Major League Baseball’s Office of the Commissioner, Mandalay Sports Entertainment and Madison Square Garden. He also served as Director of Ticket Sales for the Brooklyn Cyclones, where he led one of the top-selling ticket sales staffs in Minor League Baseball and as General Manager of Ripken Professional Baseball, overseeing Ripken Baseball’s professional sports properties. Prior to relocating to Arizona, Slatus was General Manager of The Ballpark of the Palm Beaches, Spring Training home to the Houston Astros and Washington Nationals in West Palm Beach, Florida. Slatus has served as an adjunct faculty member at both Towson University and Neumann University where he taught courses in revenue management and sports marketing. He resides in Phoenix with his wife Kerri, a professor of English at Arizona State University, and children Jonah and Remy.

As an employee of NASCAR for almost 7 years, Lucas has been a part of Phoenix Raceway since he graduated from GCU with his degree in Sports Management. Now, he helps drive revenue for NASCAR’s West Region, through selling dynamic sponsorships and high-end hospitality experiences. When he’s not at the racetrack he loves spending time with his wife Brenna and son Davis.

Meagan Taylor, is with the Professional Bull Riders and is the Marketing Director for the Arizona Ridge Riders. She is based out of Buckeye, Arizona. Meagan is responsible for developing a deep understanding of the market, establishing a loyal fan base for the Arizona Ridge Riders through community outreach, partnerships, and ancillary events. Her roots run deep in an industry that she is passionate about and has benefitted from everything it has to offer, personally, through her education, and now her profession. Mariah’s Miracle, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, was created in honor of pediatric physical therapist Mariah Devries, who we lost to cancer at the young age of 26, two months after giving birth to a beautiful baby girl, Clara. Mariah’s Miracle further expands her life and legacy by establishing a fund to help Arizona pediatric therapy patients and their families offset the high cost of therapy and equipment that insurance does not otherwise provide.

Nourish Phoenix (NourishPHX), a food and clothing bank serving low-income individuals and families based in Central Phoenix, is hosting its inaugural 2024 Nourish Phoenix Fashion Gallery event on Saturday, April 13 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.During the event, guests will be able to browse around the high-end fashion gallery featuring couture clothes exclusively from the clothing closet at NourishPHX. All vintage pieces in the display are designer items that have been donated to NourishPHX to help serve approximately 20,000 families annually with clothing as well as food, hygiene and job assistance.
In addition to the gallery, Food Network featured Chefs, Jeff Kraus and Adam Allison, will be preparing a variety of hors d'oeuvres and appetizers for gallery guests.
Hosted at a private home in Paradise Valley, tickets to this exclusive event $125 per person. The location address will be disclosed once registration is completed.
“We are so excited to launch our inaugural NourishPHX Fashion Gallery,” said Executive Director of NourishPHX, Beth Fiorenza. “This is a one-of-a-kind event that offers attendees an intimate opportunity to get to know Nourish Phoenix leaders, clients and see amazing clothing items. We will have delicious food, incredible fashion displays and the best part is all donations raised will be going to support NourishPHX programs that help those who need it most.”
Funds raised from ticket sales and donations will go directly to NourishPHX and the clients they serve. In addition to the clothing closet, NourishPHX also provides nutritious food boxes, hygiene kits, career development courses and enrichment activities to those in need. NourishPHX also works with dozens of community partners to provide medical, dental and veterinary care.
