The Glendale Chamber's weekly Business Over Breakfast is back - virtually!

This month will be a little different than usual. Throughout July, we will be conducting Business Over Breakfast via Zoom from 9:00-10:30am and attendance is FREE!

Midwestern University Health Careers Institute for High School Students

APPLICATION DEADLINE APRIL 1 - Midwestern University’s annual Health Careers Institute for High School Students will take place this year from July 9-17 on the University’s campus in Glendale, AZ. This FREE medical program is open to current Junior and Senior high school students and offers hands-on lab activities and lectures designed to introduce students to a variety of health professions. Applications and flyers may be downloaded online at www.midwestern.edu/azhealthcareersinstitute. The application must be postmarked BY APRIL 1, and all applicants are required to submit a recommendation letter and a transcript. Join GCMC for a free webinar on marketing for your business! We'll have a lunch and learn the first Tuesday of the month from February - December of 2020. Attorney Allister Adel's Bio:

Allister Adel was appointed as Maricopa County Attorney on Oct. 3, 2019 by Maricopa County Board of Supervisors.

Adel began her legal career at the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office, where she was an award-winning litigator prosecuting felonies and advocating for victims’ rights. During her more than seven years as a Deputy County Attorney, she served in the Vehicular Crimes, Gang, and Drug Enforcement bureaus. She was then appointed to executive level leadership positions in Arizona State government from 2011 to 2015. As the Chief Administrative Law Judge for the Arizona Department of Transportation and later as General Counsel for the Arizona Department of Child Safety, Adel worked to build coalitions and improve policies to help the agencies achieve their mission. Adel was Executive Director of the Maricopa County Bar Association from 2016 – 2018.

Adel is Past President of Phoenix Rotary 100 and in 2020 will serve as Chair of the Board of Directors for the 100 Club. Adel received her Law Degree from the Arizona State University Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law and Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from the University of Arizona.

As Financial Advisors, we see the aftermath of the ‘unintended consequences’ of those who don’t understand the advantages and disadvantages when it comes to purchasing an annuity. Help Larry H. Miller Dealerships restock St. Mary's Food Bank

Larry H. Miller Dealerships is helping Arizona children and families facing food insecurity during the COVID-19 pandemic with its “Driven to Assist” campaign, a two-week food drive to support St. Mary’s Food Bank in Phoenix. 

 

From July 20-31, Larry H. Miller Dealerships is encouraging its employees and the public to help fill a vehicle in each of its nine dealerships across Metro Phoenix with nonperishable food items. Some of the most needed items are peanut butter, canned fruits and vegetables, canned meats (tuna, chicken, and beef) and bottled water.
